Perfect for ridding steps, quaysides, pontoons and slipways of slippery algae and dirt, with dilution ratio of 1:10 this product is classified as non-hazardous to the marine environment and contains no biocides, bleach, or acids.

It is so safe and non-toxic that it has been given food-safe status by Campden BRI and staff need wear no PPE items while in normal use. The chemical is therefore also ideal as a boat hull cleaner as it is safe for any aquatic environment.

The all-natural detergent breaks down the bonds of algae, and marine growth and surface tension holding algae and dirt to the substrate and lifting it off. On numerous occasions, it has been proven to limit the re-growth of algae better than using sodium hypochlorite and it is ideal as a cleaner for slipways and piers.

The slipway cleaner chemical is sold as concentrate in 5 litre or 20 litre containers and would normally dilute 1 part concentrate to 10 parts water. We can also supply in 200 litre or 1000 litre IBC quantities.

When used as directed this product does not need an Environment Agency environmental permit for a Water Discharge Activity issued under the Environmental Permitting Regulations. Perfect for cleaning concrete, natural stone, granite, and pontoons or as a boat wash cleaner.

As the product is non-biocidal it also adheres to HSE guidelines for chemicals that land up in the sea and will not cause chemical burns to humans as sodium hypochlorite did in this disturbing incident in the Western Isles.
