Roof Tile Cleaner
RoofKleen is the eco-friendly roof tile cleaner chemical in our range of building cleaning chemicals. It is ideal for cleaning slate, clay and concrete tiles that have had moss scraped off in an environmentally friendly and safe manner that protects personnel, pets and plants. This non-toxic and non-hazardous detergent is something of a first as its cleaning action is not biocide or disinfectant-based.
Available in 20-litre jerrycans and delivered all over the UK, persons using the product do not need any PPE and it is nearly odourless, pH neutral, with no acids, no caustic alkalis, no biocides, no bleach, or sodium hypochlorite solution.
RoofKleen is delivered at ready-to-use dilution but if the job you are on does not have heavy soiling you can water it down as well. Another great feature of RoofKleen is that surfaces treated with it tend to resist fresh build-up of algae and soiling because the surface is left very clean.
How Does It Work?
This food-safe roof cleaner chemical works by using nano energy to break the surface tension between dirt and the substrate to lift off the soiling from tiles, fascia and soffits. The majority of chemicals rely on sodium hypochlorite or biocides to kill the green growth on a roof which means considerable precautions are needed, smells are very strong, and runoff can be dangerous.
By contrast, RoofKleen is almost odourless and this innovative approach to cleaning offers a genuinely all-natural and powerful solution whichis even safe if it gets into a water course during use.

How To Use RoofKleen
Careful use of a pressure washer can be helpful to remove loosened dirt and algae or just a garden hose or similar. Remove as much moss as possible by scraping and apply the detergent by pouring, with a brush, or from a sprayer, saturate the surface well and then agitate with a brush.
On cladding spraying works well and the cleaning benefits from more than one coat, ideally wait 5 minutes before rinsing off the dirt. A second application may be needed and a long-reach rotary cleaner is a very useful tool for cleaning roof tiles, you can see our one on this link.
