Render Cleaning Chemicals

AcuteClean Application Kit Petrol

The AcuteClean application kit with Honda petrol engine combines carefully chosen commercial window cleaning equipment and a professional heavy duty pump trolley that are often used for what is commonly known as ‘softwashing’ with harsh chemicals like Sodium Hypochlorite.

However, we have optimised this equipment into a robust and focused pump system that give the ideal starter kits at a good price for applying our unique exterior cleaning eco-friendly chemicals because the application and all-important agitation can be done in one pass with the pole brush.

We have carefully researched the best of professional quality carbon fibre water fed pole brushes, selected a stiff brush that is ideal for render, concrete and roofs or a softer brush option for fascia’s, cladding or signs so that you have the perfect recommended system to operate for many years.

The package kit on this page includes a 120 litre softwash trolley with Honda petrol engine, all needed fittings, hoses, water-fed brushes and a choice of 2 x 20 litre jerrycans to get you going!

The price for the complete package is £2650.00 + VAT – please see the link below:

Our softwash trolley enables you to complete more work in a day by utilising a high-quality lithium battery for 50% less battery weight and fast charging via digital charger that means you are independent of external power sources for up to 12 hours – a true portable softwash system.

Softwash Trolley

The robust folding powder-coated handle and frame of the trolley means it is easy to store while being transported and we offer a 50-litre version as well – the pump’s flow rate is around 3.8 litres per minute and the system comes with a short hose and application wand. The digital pump controller built into our softwash trolley gives you better control over flow-rates and up to the minute information on battery charge status.

The trolley costs £860.00 + £10.00 carriage + VAT – you can buy it online by clicking the link on the button below:

Having Viton seals in the chemical resistant pump means that the softwash trolley can be used with several popular biocide chemicals like SmartSeal, AlgoClear or with sodium hypochlorite solution as used with some applications of render or cladding cleaning reliably with this trolley.

A more up-to-date solution however is to use our eco-friendly aqueous cleaning solution called RenderKleen or BuildKleen. This is an entirely environmentally friendly and odourless detergent cleaner that uses advanced formulation to break the bonds of algae and dirt to dislodge and remove the soiling rather than killing it.

This unique breakthrough British-made product comes at ready-to-use strength in 20 litre jerrycans and is both food-safe and with harmless run off in drains or a water course.

Render cleaning chemicals can make a dramatic difference to the appearance of your house or any building and technological advances have made products safer for the environment and operators in recent times. Whether it is a dwelling or school, has K-Rend coloured or painted render, pebble dash, harling or roughcasting, the walls will tend to suffer in our damp climate or may have a whisky storage bond nearby that makes walls and window sills go black with mould.

Render Cleaning Chemicals

Green algae, pollution, dirt and weathering and atmospheric traffic film are other factors to consider that can turn beautiful light shades and colours of render black or green and unsightly. One answer has been to apply a biocide-based chemical to kill the spores and algae on the render; this is often marketed as ‘softwashing’ and then leaving the weather to wash off the dead algae.

Ultra-Safe Render Cleaning Chemicals

RenderKleen is an innovative product that is part of our render cleaning chemicals range along with 4 others and is used for cleaning render via a very different process to the use of biocides or sodium hypochlorite. This is a non-toxic, odourless and non-hazardous aqueous cleaning solution that uses millions of nano-energy packages in the mix to penetrate under the soiling and algae on render to dislodge it and loosen it off.

The contrast to the killing action of biocides is the key factor in why our render cleaning chemicals are so safe to use. Biocides are basically disinfectants and while ‘hypo’ as it is called, is effective, it smells awful, the fall out kills plant life, ruins clothes, and who knows what it does to you, the operator?

Render Cleaning Chemicals

Using our chemicals means a quicker cleaning action and the process is very safe as the chemicals are food safe for operators and pets, lawns and even for aquatic life if they land up in a water course. Workers using RenderKleen do not even need PPE, there are no hazard warning pictograms on the packaging and the product is delivered to site in 5 litres or 20 litres jerrycans at ready-to-use strength for convenience.

A situation that could have been tragic with any other render cleaning chemicals arose where a contractor used a rubber tube and his mouth to try and siphon the chemical from 20 litre jerrycan into smaller bottles and got a mouthful which, in his surprise, he swallowed, and, apart from a funny taste, was fine!

Render Cleaning Chemicals

How Do You Apply RenderKleen?

It can be used by spraying on generously and several times or brushing with a Gardiner type long-reach window cleaning brush pole then agitating with a semi-stiff broom or brush to help dislodging soiling, you will note a light foaming occurs that colours with the debris.

After this leave for 5 to 10 minutes, wash off, and reapply by sprayer – we always suggest that you try a test patch first. The products are ideal as a painted render cleaner but please be aware that if the paint is in a bad state, it can easily remove some in the same way it will give algae short shrift.

Can I Use A Pressure Washer?

Yes you can – the key point is to use the pressure washer on fan setting and gently so as not to damage the render and do not bring the nozzle of the lance to close and concentrate too long on a small part of the render so as to not cause damage to the K-Rend.

Our eco friendly render cleaning chemicals combined with a pressure washer makes a lot of sense as it helps penetration and, as RenderKleen can often liberate A LOT of soiling, you obviously want to wash this away rather than letting some of it dry in-situ – you can also use a standard garden hose for rinsing down.

Cleaning rendered walls can make a dramatic difference to the appearance of a building. Whether it is a dwelling or school, has coloured or painted render, pebble dash or roughcasting, the walls will tend to suffer in our damp climate or may have a whisky storage bond nearby that makes walls and window sills go black.

Cleaning Rendered Walls

Green algae and just general weathering and atmospheric pollution are other factors to consider that can turn beautiful light shades and colours of render black or green and unsightly.

The traditional answer is generally applying a biocide-based chemical to kill the spores and algae on the render – often marketed as ‘softwashing’ – and involving sodium hypochlorite and then leaving the weather to wash off the dead algae.

Our Answer – RenderKleen

RenderKleen is an innovative chemical for cleaning rendered walls that works very differently to the traditional process described above. It is a non-toxic and non-hazardous aqueous cleaning solution that uses millions of nano-energy packages in the mix to penetrate under the soiling and algae to dislodge it and loosen it off.

The contrast to the killing action described above is the revolutionary factor in why the cleaner is so safe to use and superior to many existing treatments. Biocides are basically disinfectants and while ‘hypo’ as it is called, is effective, it smells awful, the fall out kills plant life, ruins clothes, and who know what it does to you?!

Using RenderKleen means much quicker cleaning action and – importantly – that the process is very safe as the RenderKleen chemical is food safe as tested by Camden BRI and thus safe for operators and pets, lawns and even for aquatic life.

It Is Really That Safe?

Yes, it is – workers using RenderKleen for cleaning rendered walls do not even need PPE, there are no hazard warning pictograms on the packaging and the product is delivered to site in 5 litres or 20 litres jerrycans at ready-to-use strength for convenience.

A situation that could have been tragic with any other chemical arose recently where a contractor used a rubber tube and his mouth to try and siphon the chemical from 20 litre jerrycan into smaller bottles and got a mouthful – in his surprise he swallowed it – and, apart from a funny taste, was fine!

Cleaning Rendered Walls

How Is Best To Apply It?

This odourless cleaner solution is used in cleaning rendered walls by spraying on generously and several times or brushing or rolling on and then agitating with a semi-stiff broom or brush to help dislodging soiling, you will note a light foaming that colours with the debris.

After this leave for 5 to 10 minutes, wash off, and reapply by sprayer – we always suggest that you try a test patch first. The product is ideal as a painted render cleaner but please be aware that if the paint is in a bad state, it can easily remove some in the same way it will give algae short shrift.

Can I Use A Pressure Washer?

Yes you can – the key point is to use the pressure washer on fan setting and gently so as not to damage the render and do not bring the nozzle of the lance to close and concentrate too long on a small part of the render.

Cleaning rendered walls using a pressure washer in combination with our RenderKleen chemical makes a lot of sense as it helps penetration and, as RenderKleen can often liberate A LOT of soiling, you obviously want to wash this away rather than letting some of it dry in-situ.

BuildKleen pebble dash cleaner is a safe, stable and powerful ready-to-use cleaner product for harling, render and roughcast that removes dirt, stains, and algae on buildings, during landscape maintenance and on building sites to remove excess mortar stains.

Pebble Dash Cleaner

How Does Our Pebble Dash Cleaner Work?

There is increasing demand for environmentally friendly cleaning chemicals in the construction and maintenance markets that are also safe to use. Try BuildKleen and you will not be disappointed with this innovative cleaner that uses no acids, alkalis, biocides, or bleach.

It works by using nano-size energy packages that penetrate and get underneath the dirt and algae for cleaning pebble dash. They do this by breaking the surface tension that holds dirt embedded on a substrate.

Cleaning Pebble Dash

Non-corrosive, non-acidic, non-toxic, and non-hazardous and uniquely safe among pebble dash cleaning products, BuildKleen is even certified as food safe, and is also safe to use near a water course, in drains, on lawns and near pets.

The Best Way To Apply:

Apply the pebble dash cleaner by pouring, with a brush, or from a low-pressure sprayer or roller, saturate the surface well and then agitate with a stiff brush.

Spraying also works well and the cleaning process will often benefit from several coats, ideally wait quarter of an hour to an hour before rinsing off the dislodged dirt with plenty of water. A pressure washer or a garden hose is helpful to assist the cleaning action of the agent and remove loosened dirt.
